To apply to adopt this dog now and/or meet in a private meeting on November 4th or sooner, complete our adoption application HERE If not adopted beforehand, this dog will be available for a private meeting with approved adopters on November 4th, and then attend the Super Dog Adoption Event on November 4th at Clark Farms Matunuck, RI. Learn more about this event and sign up for 10am Early Entry HERE Age: 2 years (as of 6/1/23) Weight: 38.4 lbs (as of 9/30/23) This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Meet Eudora, momma to the Disney litter! Eudora's puppies have all found their forever homes through SOS, and now it's her turn. It's easy to see where the Disney litter got their Basset-y looks--from their beautiful red and white Basset Hound momma. This girl is independent, affectionate, gentle, and eager to please. Eudora is playful and responsive to corrections from her cohabitating humans and dogs. She has also done well when her foster's grandkids visit. Eudora loves playing with toys (especially chew toys) and playing chase with other pups but is equally content cuddling with her humans. Eudora is working hard on her house and crate training, but already walk well on leash. She will need a patient adopter to continue her training, and we strongly recommend that all of our dogs attend obedience training to learn commands, develop confidence, and socialize with other dogs. Think this princess may make a great addition to your family? Fill out an application and let her know! Medical Note: This dog has tested positive for exposure to ehrlichia and showed symptoms consistent with an active infection. This dog has been treated with a 28-day course of doxycycline and all symptoms have resolved. This dog is ready for adoption, though may continue to test positive for exposure to ehrlichia for some time. There is also a chance that the symptoms could recur and/or additional treatment be needed. Please see here for more information on ehrlichia, and please check with your vet before you apply to adopt this dog if you have any questions or concerns about this medical history. An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this. To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see HERE **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
