Meet Cecil Seaside

To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application  HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see  HERE Age: 2 months 15 days (as of 9/1/2024) Weight:  11.6-12.8 lbs (as of 8/26/2024) This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Introducing the Seaside puppies! These two little guys, Cecil and Beany, are eager to find their new homes. We think these two may be dachshund/beagle mix, but your guess is as good as ours. They love playing bitey-mouth and tug-o-war with their puppy friends, but they are happy to chill at times! Cecil's foster family reports that he can be a little shy, but once he gets to know you, he can be affectionate and outgoing. He loves squeaky toys, chew toys, digging, and running, but also slows down for some lap time or cuddling. Being so young, Cecil would love to find a family who has the time and patience to raise a puppy; he has so much to learn!  He'll need house training, crate training and will need to learn to walk on a leash. We strongly recommend that all our dogs - and especially puppies - attend obedience classes because you get to learn commands together, it offers an opportunity for confidence building and socialization for the dog, and it also helps to strengthen that ever-important bond between the dog and his human family. It’s lots of fun, too!  Puppies are a lot of work and require a strong commitment to teaching them obedience, socializing them with other dogs and people, playing with them and loving them to pieces. It takes a lot of time, energy and patience to bring up a puppy and it’s totally worth it! If you're ready to make that awesome commitment to bring up Cecil, then fill out an application today! Sweet puppy kisses and warm furry snuggles await!  An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see   HERE   for more information about this. To apply for Cecil, fill out an adoption application on our website:   Adoption Application - SOS Animal Rescue League in Rhode Island (sosarl.org) **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality - not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
