Meet Oreo! A charming approximately six-year-old English Pointer mix from Woodbridge, VA, whose heart is as big as his love for outdoor adventures and cozy cuddle sessions. Wrapped in a striking white coat with black patches and a sprinkle of spots, Oreo is a dashing and devoted companion ready to bring warmth, playfulness, and plenty of personality into a new loving home. Oreo thrives on companionship—he’s happiest when hanging out with his favorite humans, whether that’s going for a brisk walk, hiking through the woods, or simply soaking up the sun in the backyard. He’s got a fun, goofy side too, especially when he gets his paws on a squeaky toy (his stuffed lamb is a personal favorite!). Fetch? He’s all in! Training? Absolutely—especially if treats are involved! This smart boy already knows an impressive list of commands, including sit, up, down, stay, paw, high five, hug, bang, and even turn around. Indoors, Oreo is just as delightful. He’s fully house-trained and comfortable being kenneled when needed—especially if there’s a frozen apple slice or a small treat involved as a send-off. While he adores lounging on the bed or couch with you, he also enjoys keeping an eye on the world outside, always ready to observe a passing bird or squirrel. Oreo’s ideal home would be with someone who’s around a lot—maybe a work-from-home pet parent or someone who enjoys a structured daily routine with plenty of engagement. He’s selective with other dogs and would do best as the only pup in the home. He currently shares space with cats and does fine as long as they respect his boundaries. As for young children, he hasn’t spent much time around them, so a home with older kids or adults would likely be the best match. While Oreo is a confident and happy pup, thunder, lightning, and fireworks make him a bit uneasy, so having a safe, quiet space like a cozy closet during storms is a must. Nail trims are also a bit tricky for him, but with a Dremel and some kibble as a reward, he handles it like a champ! Are you looking for a devoted companion who will keep you active, make you laugh with his playful antics, and snuggle up with you after a long day? Oreo might just be your perfect match!
