Meet Yoru

Meet Yoru! A gentle and affectionate three-year-old German Shepherd from Vacaville, CA, whose heart is as big as his 100-pound frame. This lovable giant is the ultimate lap dog—yes, despite his size, he fully believes he belongs in your lap, soaking up all the cuddles and pats you can offer. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who thrives on love and attention, Yoru is your perfect match! Yoru has epilepsy, which means he needs his medication twice daily to keep his seizures under control. As long as he stays on schedule, he’s a happy, healthy pup who enjoys life’s simple pleasures—lounging in the sun, gazing out the window, and watching the world go by. He’s even got a playful side, loving games like tug-of-war, chase, and popping bubbles! He might tire out a little quicker than before, but that doesn’t stop him from having fun. A smart boy with an eager-to-please personality, Yoru knows several commands and has even learned to press communication buttons to ask for food, treats, or playtime (though he may be using them just to see what happens!). He’s generally quiet, only barking when someone unfamiliar approaches or whining when he's excited for mealtime or an outdoor break. When meeting new people, Yoru can be a bit reserved at first, but a tasty treat quickly earns his trust. He gets along well with other dogs and has been friendly in his pet sitter’s home. His gentle nature makes him a great fit for families, including those with young children. While he hasn't had much experience with cats, his future pet parent can help him navigate that introduction if needed. Because of his condition, Yoru’s new family should be attentive to his medication schedule and able to provide a safe space for him if he ever has a seizure. He’ll return that care tenfold with his unwavering love, snuggles, and the kind of companionship that makes every day brighter.  Could Yoru be the loyal friend you've been searching for? Reach out to [email protected] to learn more about this incredible pup!
