500Meet Winter
Meet Winter (Winnie for short)! This 2-year old petite and unique red-merle beauty came to us from local animal control after being found as a stray. You can’t miss Winnie’s icicle eyes. In fact, she is vision impaired and will need 1-2 visits to the ophthalmologist every year to continue to monitor the condition of her eyes. But despite her limited vision, Winnie navigates the world with an endearing curiosity, using her other senses, like that perfect pink little nose, to take it all in. ♥ Despite her polar beauty, Winter has the warmest heart! In fact, with Winnie, you won’t mind the snow, the frigid temperatures, or the short days and long nights…just grab a fluffy blanket to settle in for a cuddle sesh! Because Winnie uses her mouth to feel out her environment, older or no kids would be best for this special girl. Winter’s top 3 priorities: A family who is willing to create consistent spaces and routines to make Winnie feel safe and at home. A family who is patient and kind and will allow Winnie to take her time really learning how to “dog”, including snuggling and cuddling. A family who is willing to take on her ongoing medical care, which includes 1-2 exams at a veterinary ophthalmologist every single year.

Adoptions
Crops and Flops Rescue, Inc. prides ourselves on spending extra time with our thorough adoption process to make sure our pups and their forever families are set up for a lifetime of happiness. Being a foster-home based rescue means we understand our dogsâ personalities in a home setting and what type of environment would set them up for success. Adoption Process
Our adoption process consists of the following:

⢠Reference Checks: Both veterinary and personal references are required
⢠Phone Interview: Typically lasts 20-30 minutes with one of our knowledgeable dog adoption specialists for us to understand our adopters household
⢠Home Visit: Our home checks are conducted both virtually and in person, include verification of home ownership, and usually take around 30 minutes to complete
⢠Dog Meet: Adopters will be guided to meeting a dog that would be a good match â all resident family members are required to be present
⢠Next Steps: Subsequent steps are determined at initial dog meet, especially when you have a resident dog
⢠Adoption: We ask our adopters to wait 24-hours before scheduling an adoption to make sure all family members are committed â if all agree, we schedule the adoption as soon as volunteer schedules will allow
