To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see HERE Age: about 3 years (as of April 24) Weight: 12 lbs. (as of April 24) This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Peaches and Silk might sound like an 80s R&B duo, but they’re really a pair of mini-Dachshund gal pals who were surrendered by their owners because they were unable to put up a fence or walk them. These two cuties are now spayed and ready for a forever home – or two. Peaches and Silk love each other but are not bonded. That means even though they are besties, they will also bond easily with new playmates and do not become anxious when separated. They can be placed separately or together. Peaches is 3 years old and is playful and respects corrections with people and fellow doggies, but hasn’t been exposed to cats. She likes going new places and settles quickly in new environments. Peaches is still working on house training but is clean in her crate. She alert barks and will sometimes bark in play. She likes toys and playing chase and is happy to cuddle after play. She’s affectionate, even-tempered, and eager to please. Peaches is an intelligent girl but will benefit from training to refine her skills and for a bond with you, her furever friend! An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website: www.sosarl.org/aa/ * *Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
