Meet Sadie Mae
Calling all LARGE dog lovers!!! You have got to meet this sweet southern girl, Sadie Mae. She weighs 70 pounds, just right for her size. She is a tan and black retriever mix with the typical lab grin. She is smart, sweet (loves people and other dogs) and house trained. It is important to remember that although Sadie Mae is housetrained, accidents can still occur while adjusting to a new home environment. Sadie Mae, who is a young age 7, was rescued from a dog hoarding home. She was obviously loved at some point, as she trusts people and is comfortable around kids. Other than that, little is known about her. It is unknown if she lived with cats.Lab mixes are known for their friendliness towards people. They have more than enough affection to go around for the whole family, too. They are intelligent and good-natured. They have plenty of energy as pups and usually like to stay active through-out their lives. They make great family companions. Daily exercise will support leash skills as well as socialization skills. She is in process of learning her crate training. It will be a new world to her with all the new sights, smells, sounds, and people along her walk. She will also benefit from mental stimulation in the form of activities and play toys. It will also prevent boredom. Lab mixes usually like to stay active as they age. A secure back yard would be a plus and would give her time to play and burn off her energy. She might even like hiking. Are you willing to take on the task of helping Sadie Mae transition to a new life where she is once again loved and appreciated? If yes, read on. * Please keep in mind when considering adoption, dogs thrive on structure and routine.
