Meet Jesse James

Meet Jesse James! This 3-year old American Bully is a serious outlaw of LOVE and came to us from local animal control after his owner could no longer care for him. Jesse James is desperately looking to connect and will unapologetically steal your heart. His past life was reminiscent of the Wild West, and Jesse craves a stable and loving forever family and human connection with a worried intensity. He soulfully stares into the eyes of everyone he meets wondering if they may be “the one”. Don’t worry JJ; we’re working on it and the best is yet to come! Jesse’s other crimes include lying horizontal in the bed and strrrrrrretching out, blowing bubbles out the sides of his mouth when excited, and looking like a tough guy when he’s actually a baby at heart. You can regularly find him galloping with glee in the yard, checking out his own goofy smile in the mirror, or using his bowflex. But don’t let his beefy build fool you…Jesse might be a musclehead, but is definitely a brand-new soul, taking in all that the world has to offer with wide, round, amber eyes filled with softness and childlike innocence. And that blockhead…McDreamy! JJ is a dog-friendly and cat-friendly stage 5 clinger looking for a new gang all his own! One fueled by love who can provide comfort and security after his tumultuous past. Due to Jesse’s size and lack of history, older kids would be best for this big man. Jesse James’s top priorities: 1. A kind family with gentle hands and hearts to love and pamper JJ for all of his days. 2. Humans who crave physical closeness and aren’t afraid to take snuggling to the next level…sleeping with humans in bed and snuggling on the couch is a must for Jesse. 3. A family who will keep this meathead safe from public perception and preconceived notions by being a responsible bully owner.

Adoption Process
Adoptions Crops and Flops Rescue, Inc. prides ourselves on spending extra time with our thorough adoption process to make sure our pups and their forever families are set up for a lifetime of happiness. Being a foster-home based rescue means we understand our dogs’ personalities in a home setting and what type of environment would set them up for success. We go the extra mile with our adoption process to understand our adopters’ households to make a match made in heaven. While we understand that looks can be important, we focus our efforts on finding a match based on household, lifestyle, and temperament for the best chance of a happily-ever-after. Our dog adoption specialists are invested in our adopters and are volunteering their time to help make a great forever match. Adoption Process Our adoption process consists of the following: • Complete an Application • Reference Checks: Both veterinary and personal references are required • Phone Interview: Typically lasts 20-30 minutes with one of our knowledgeable dog adoption specialists for us to understand our adopters household • Home Visit: Our home checks are conducted both virtually and in person, include verification of home ownership, and usually take around 30 minutes to complete • Dog Meet: Adopters will be guided to meeting a dog that would be a good match – all resident family members are required to be present • Next Steps: Subsequent steps are determined at initial dog meet, especially when you have a resident dog • Adoption: We ask our adopters to wait 24-hours before scheduling an adoption to make sure all family members are committed – if all agree, we schedule the adoption as soon as volunteer schedules will allow Adoption Donations All Crops and Flops Rescue, Inc. dogs come spayed/neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccines and monthly preventatives, have received fecal testing and 4DX testing for tick-borne illnesses, and are sent home with an extra 2 month supply of heartworm preventatives. Adoption donations are as follows: • Whippersnapper Puppies (up to 11 months) $500 • Adult House Hippos (1 year – 7 years) $400 • Senior Pitizens (8 years+) $300
