Meet Lenny

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: Unknown, likely yesGood with kids: NoCrate trained: MostlyHouse Trained: Working on itLenny is a gentle, happy soul! This playful sweetheart has a special dance he busts out every time his humans walk through the door—it’s like a welcome party every time you come home! He absolutely adores other dogs and would be living his best life if he had a furry companion to spend his days with.Lenny is still learning how to trust people and can be very timid at first. Being a peanut, he’s afraid of heights and does not enjoy being picked up. There’s not an aggressive bone in his body, but he’s definitely a squirmy worm when he wants to escape a cuddle! He needs someone who respects his need for personal space and understands that he can be a total introvert who prefers affection on his own terms.Lenny’s a very shy guy and for that reason, a home with kids is not recommended. A patient, understanding person/ couple/ family with older kids that can truly appreciate Lenny’s quirky ways are the ideal adopters for this adorable Doxie. Lenny is extremely comfortable in the presence of other dogs and seeks out their companionship and wouldn’t mind sharing his space with some savvy cats who can handle his shenanigans.Lenny’s made huge strides since entering foster care, but let’s be honest - accidents do happen, so a solid routine will keep him feeling secure. He does wear a belly band while in the house to help prevent marking.Sure, Lenny has a few quirky habits, but he’s a total lovebug and will shine bright in the right home. Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. If you cannot find a particular dog on our website, he/she may be on a temporary foster hold. All dogs are otherwise posted until they are officially adopted.
