Meet Kimberly Big Town

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: Unknown, likely yesGood with kids: Yes, dog savvy childrenCrate trained: YesHouse Trained: YesThis incredibly adorable lab mix is Kimberly. She’s a super-sweet pup that loves the great outdoors – running, playing fetch with her humans, and sunbathing being her absolute favorites. She also thoroughly enjoys playing with chew toys and stuffies and is perfectly content to self-entertain. She can be a little shy meeting new people but is easily won over with a belly rub.Kim is well-behaved on the leash when encountering other dogs and loves playing with them, getting along famously, though she tends to be submissive around larger dogs. She would do well in a home with another dog her size (psst...she has a brother Jimi) or as a solo pup . She’s only been observed interacting with teens since entering foster care, but her sweet personality suggests she would do well with dog-savvy children as she can be a little timid and can startle easily. She has never cohabited with cats, but they can’t be completely ruled out as she is friendly and has seen them through the fence and seemed to care less.Kim will impress you with her smarts. At only three months old, she’s already house-trained and has no accidents. Still a growing puppy, she does great as long as she is taken out every couple of hours, right after coming out of the crate, and straight outside after meals. She will go to her crate on command and is currently working on “sit”, with treats making all the difference. While she can be cautious on walks and sometimes puts on her brakes with loud noises and passing cars, this is an opportunity for her to build confidence and explore the world at her own pace.Kimmy deserves a safe home full of love and belly rubs where she can sunbathe to her little heart’s content! Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted.
