Meet PENDING ADOPTION - STELLA

Stellas story truly breaks our heart. She is 10 years old, and her dad passed away 2 years ago. For at least the last 2 years Stella health and well being has been on the back burner for the least of the priorities Of the family. Stellas moms health is now decreasing and the family reached out to rescue, thankfully. We only have records of her going to the vet 2 times in her whole life. Stella came to us last night, dirty, itchy and infested with fleas.  The first thing we did was give her a bath to try to get some relief and get the fleas under control. Her skin is raw and bald from flea bite, her nails were twisting sideways making it painful to walk, it is apparent she has had puppies her life, she is not spayed and her teeth are black and rotting causing it painful to eat. Since with us her skin has gotten  so much better and she has been spayed and had 8 teeth pulled! She weighs about 23 pounds full love last night she enjoyed relaxing in the couch and being loved on. We are sad she no longer has her “ family” but happy the right decision was made and she now will have a better life. Stella is recovering from being spayed and a dental and is ready for her forever home!  She is a sweetheart and loves men! She is fine with kids and wants to play with cats! She is also ok  with other dogs but being an old girl would much rather be left alone and be cuddled her human by herself! So an only dog home where she can give her companion all her love would be ideal ( we are learning  how to share with other dogs) She would make a GREAT companion for someone!

Adoption Process
The first step in adopting one of our rescue dogs is to fill out our online application. Once we receive the application, we will do a vet reference check. Once that is approved, we will contact the potential applicant to set up a home visit. Once the home visit is completed, we set up a meet and greet. If we feel the potential adopter is the best fit for the dog, and vice versa, the adoption will take place.
