Meet Renaistre - located in Arizona

Hi, I’m Renaistre! My friends and foster family call me Ren for short! I was saved from e-list, and my foster Mom decided to level up my shelter name "Wren". Renaistre means re-birth, revival or new beginning; fitting, right? I was saved, and now I'm looking for a new beginning with a fur-ever family!It wasn't long after being saved that I had to visit the vet for some routine pricks… the staff didn't mind letting me perch up on their laps while they drew blood. I thought for a moment that I was dying, but found out that my cuteness as a lap dog won them over and I recieved a 4 paw rating - which is cool since this vet see's Maricopa's Police Mals! They said I was easily in their top 3, of best behaved!I have been serving as a weighted support blanket for my foster Mom and the wonderful girls that help take care of me. I love to provide comfort and support. Need to talk about your day? I'm there. Need to cry? I'll lick away those tears. Not into that kind of therapy? Okay, cool. I'm also a motivational movement coach! I'll cheer you on while we enjoy a brisk walk or I'll help maintain a quicker pace, whatever works for you! I'm cool to pass stray cats, other reactive dogs and people I dont know.I'm always on duty - I'll spot any danger before you see it. That being said, I have a slight obsession with trying to "catch" cars… but when my foster Mom says no, I pretend I'm getting them by getting the air. Speaking of cars, I also try to "catch" them when I am riding in my foster Mom's truck. My foster Mom still tells me no, so I do end up settling.I love beds and will play with some toys. I'm a neat girl and I keep my bed pristine. I love my crate and do well in a wire kennel, Variocage or Impact crate. I do enjoy the decompression and relaxation of chilling in a space I can call my own. I currently have my own office, suite. I can hear all of the going-on's throughout the house but I'm respectful and only bark if its an odd noise… remember when I said I'm always on duty?Although I love having my families back, if its time to chill I can do that too. I know "place" and can stay there while you eat on the couch or enjoy a show. I'm also an excellent snuggler, don't forget! I love all people and my foster Mom was told that I love older kids! I'm so down to be available for pets, the more hands, the merrier!I would do well in most settings, if you are single I’ll be your family, if our family is larger, that works too! I’m good with my foster siblings (Nala a 88lb Aussie and Argus a 50lb dominant pitty-mix). I am un-tested with birds, cats and smaller dogs. Ren is perfect for a first time Mal owner. She is low drive, high snuggle but loves to adventure. Ren is devoted to her people and she wants nothing more than to be by your side in relaxing mode or adventure mode. When visiting the vet they gave her an amazing report card saying she was easily in their top 3 for best behaved Mals! She allowed them to draw blood easily and was friendly with all of the staff. Ren loves people and is good with men, women and children. Ren thrives as the center of attention and would do well as the only dog, but I could see her having fun in a calm family dynamic. She does take corrections well and plays well with vocal dogs… however, she can be reactive on leash and with barriers.
