Hi kind humans! My name is Airbud and I’m a two-year-old male Golden Retriever mix, just 60lbs of handsome and cuddles. I was saved just in time from a kill shelter and now I’m here in Temperence, Michigan on the lookout for my forever family! I have a heart full of love and energy to match. Whether it’s a game of fetch or a cozy snuggle session, I’m your guy. Don’t let my size fool you—I’m a lap dog at heart and my foster mom calls me a giant teddy bear.I’m housebroken, as long as you let me out regularly, and crate-trained, sometimes I even like to lounge in there with the door open. I am still a little food insecure, so I actually feel safest eating in my crate. I’d do best with older, respectful kids who understand my need for space at mealtimes. I get along well with other dogs, especially younger ones who can keep up with my playfulness. I’ve just recently met cats, and I’m still figuring them out. I’ve been super friendly with new people and might even greet you with a handshake or a hug! I’m excellent on a leash, though car rides are still a bit new to me, so I’m not quite sure about them yet. My ideal family would be active and have a fully FENCED-IN YARD, at least 5 feet high—I could probably jump anything less.
