Meet MONROE

Hi, I’m Monroe! I’m a two-year-old male Lab mix who was rescued from a high-kill shelter just in the nick of time. I’m pretty small at only 35 pounds and I was pretty scared and timid at first, but now I’m really coming out of my shell! I still have a lot of puppy energy, but I listen well to corrections and can settle down nicely. I love playing with my foster brother and sister, and sometimes I get the zoomies! But I also enjoy cuddling up on the couch for a good nap. I'm a very submissive boy who thrives on attention and treats.I'm housebroken and crate-trained and do well sleeping out of the crate in the bedroom at night. I also ride well in the car and am getting better on the leash every day. I’d love a fenced yard to run around in, but it's not a must as long as you take me for lots of walks. I haven't met any cats or small children yet, but I don’t seem to have a prey drive, so I think I'd be fine with them.I’m currently being fostered in Plainwell, Michigan. I'm fully-vetted and my adoption fee is $300. If you’re looking for a loyal and loving companion, I promise I’ll be your best friend. If you have any questions not answered in this bio or would like to request an adoption application, please email [email protected]. I can’t wait to meet you and start our new adventures together!
