Meet Goose

Meet Goose, your ultimate cuddle buddy and playful companion! Goose is a charming Redtick Coonhound (American English Coonhound) with a heart as big as his baying voice. Originally from a Michigan hunting expo, he found himself with us after his first family realized just how much attention a puppy needs to thrive. Goose quickly learned the joys of people, playtime, and all the comforts of home life, and he’s eager to find his forever family! Like any true coonhound, Goose loves to let his voice be heard! He’s especially vocal when inviting his furry friends to play, trying to nab a coveted toy, or expressing his opinion on being in a crate while his humans are nearby. He’s not shy about sharing his thoughts, especially when he can see you through a door or window. At home, Goose is mellow, happy to lounge indoors, and enjoys a good backyard romp for exercise. His favorite toys include squeaky stuffies, tennis balls, and a mini soccer ball. He’s also a fan of bacon-flavored Benebones and peanut butter-filled Kongs. Goose is a master snuggler and a true people dog. He loves men, women, and kids! His favorite moments are cozying up on the couch with you in the evenings. This food-loving hound is happiest with his meals and treats but needs a slow-feeder bowl to help him pace himself. He’s currently learning that not all food belongs to him, especially the toddler-dropped kind! Goose lives in harmony with a lively male Jack Russell mix, a queenly pitty, a gentle 150lb mastiff mix, and a confident cat. Mealtime is best kept separate to avoid any food-thieving temptation from his side! Goose is making progress with potty training and will head to the door when he needs to go out, though he still needs prompt attention. He’s wonderful with children, a champ at the vet, and a friend to everyone he meets. Ready to bring this snuggly, sweet, and spunky hound into your life? Apply today to meet Goose!
