Mission StatemetMalinois and Dutch Shepherd Rescue, Inc. (MAD) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which is dedicated to rescuing Belgian Malinois and Dutch Shepherds who have found themselves without a home (surrendered, discarded, abused, neglected or impounded). MAD does not have a physical location and is operated by compassionate, like-minded professionals who volunteer their time and resources to help save and care for the Malinois and Dutch Shepherds. All animals that are accepted by MAD are spayed or neutered, given medical attention and rehabilitation, as needed, and placed with foster homes until their health and evaluations are completed and they are ready to be placed in their loving permanent homes.

Meet Tank - Located in TX

Tank is incredible Malinois is just a gem of a dog.  A stray picked up by a Texas shelter, Tank clearly has advanced training and knows German commands.  Someone put a lot of time and work in with this loving boy, but somehow he ended up abuse by being kept in a wire crate or enclosure, with obvious signs of neglect.  Thankfully MAD pulled him from the shelter and is looking for a kind, loving home that will cherish his incredble temperment and love of training.Tank came to us malnourished and is low HW positive and is being treated with the slow method, and should be HW clear in 4-6 months.  Low HW is easy to treat with ongoing HW preventatives.  Soon he will be in tip top shape and ready to find his forever home! A few things we already know about Tank: He is bsolutely a love bug!   His "heel" is incredible, complete handler focus!  He is great with other dogs in the shelter dog to dog tests; he is 5 to 6 years young.  He has a sound understanding of basic commands and likely more advanced training.  Has a very gentle mouth and loves to be caressed!  He is one heck of a handsome guy, inside and out!
