This adorable 8-year-old poodle/shih tzu mix is an all-around sweetheart who adores people and is always down for a good cuddle session or a game of fetch. He’s got the cutest little trot when he goes on walks—trying his best to keep up with his short legs—and it’s basically guaranteed to melt your heart.Ashur’s favorite things in life? Toys, tug-of-war, fetch, and you. He knows how to sit like a gentleman and doesn’t need to be kenneled—he does just fine being free in the home while you're out. In fact, the kennel isn’t really his thing at all.He’s been selective with dogs, so a meet-and-greet is a must if you’ve got another pup at home. He hasn’t been around cats, but with a slow, respectful introduction, he might do just fine. Because he can be a little nervous with sudden movements or loud environments, he’d do best in a home with kids 12 and up who can help him feel safe and secure.Ashur is looking for a family who will love him for his sweet soul and silly little zoomies.
