Tyson's Place Animal Rescue

We began taking in animals in 2015. Our rescue's mission is to assist terminally ill people with finding new families for their pets. We interpret this mission to mean we help people going into nursing homes, assisted living, hospice, managing illness, and after the owner has passed away. We want to provide people and pets with peace of mind. We want owners to know their animals are well cared for and to keep senior animals out of shelters.

Meet Chloe

Chloe is a spunky shih tzu full of life. Our rescue's mission is to assist terminally ill people with finding new homes for their pets, and she came to us after her owner passed away.  Chloe adores attention. Leave her on the floor and she barks or whines, asking to be picked up and put in your lap. But just being in your lap isn't enough. Nope, this girl wants to be petted too and isn't afraid to nudge your hand for more pets. Although Chloe lived with two older small dogs, she made it known that she ran the pack and demanded that she be the one being pet and adored by her owner.  We think she would thrive as an only dog because she could finally get all the attention she ever desired. She has also successfully lived with cats and older kids. Although she is 12 years old, don't let her age discourage you. She had full bloodwork and got a clean bill of health from our vet. She is missing several teeth but still enjoys her hard kibble. The vet thinks she would benefit from losing a few pounds, so regular walks would be great for her as well. She loves going on daily walks with her foster mom and would love to continue this routine with an adopter. She is fixed, current on vaccinations, had full blood work and will be microchipped prior to adoption. Please email [email protected] or fill out an adoption application at tysonsplacerescue.org

Adoption Process
We have an adoption application, which is reviewed by a committee, we then do a visit with the animal, and if everything goes well, an adoption contact is signed. Depending on the medical needs of the animals, the adoption fee ranges from waived to $175.
