This sweet face belongs to Nina She is available for adoption here at the Animal Welfare League after being surrendered to us due to her owner being unable to care for her any longer. Nina is a 2 year old Maltese / Shih Tzu mix, weighing in at a whopping 7.5 lbs. She may be small but her personality is ✨mighty!✨ Little Nina is a princess. She would prefer a home where she can wear her crown proudly. SHE is the boss: not you, not your spouse and certainly not your children With us, Nina is happy go lucky! She is so sweet, loves pets and likes to give little kisses! However, Nina is shy with new people so let’s talk about her needs! Kind, patient hands and a quiet home. Nina is a nervous nelly and can be shy to warm up to new people! If you have lots of strangers entering your home, she will protest! We ask if you come to meet her that you are prepared to go slow! A castle with no other animals (don’t forget, shes a princess) OR we can do meet and greets if you have another small dog in the home. She seems to do okay with other small dogs! A home with older kids / adults due to her nervousness. Small, grabby hands are quite scary! She was surrendered by an older couple and that is all she knows!
