Meet Yorkies
The yorkies are neutered and completed their first round of medications and are ready to find their fur-ever homes! We are also looking for foster homes for them. We don’t have any updated photos yet, but thank you to Emily and Dr. Andrea, they are groomed and looking much better There are 5 males available (the 6th one has already found a potential fur-ever home). 2 black and tans and 3 blue and golds (which are the more silver/grey ones). They are about 10 months old. All have had their teeth cleaned and any retained baby teeth pulled. They are current on age appropriate vaccines. Their stool has been tested as well. We perform full fecal tests for our rescue pets so that owners have the best knowledge going into a new home. They did test positive for giardia. They have now completed their first round of dewormer, but we still advise owners to be cautious as this parasite can be transferred to other pets and to people through oral ingestion of the infected feces. We recommend making sure the puppy stays clean and picking up their stool from the yard right away and washing hands well until a negative fecal test is performed. These babies are nervous of people until they get more comfortable and can see people aren’t so scary. They are scared, but very sweet. Most things will be new to them as they haven’t had much human interaction up until this point. We have found they look to other dogs to learn, so it is preferable another dog is in the home. They are also flight risks as of right now, so fenced in yards are also preferred. An approved adoption application is required. The $425 adoption fee (payable by cash or check only) includes spay/neuter; microchip; vaccinations; fecal w/ giardia testing, monthly heartworm and flea and tick prevention . Our adoption application may be found by going to: www.headinhomerescue.org; then click on the link to the adoption application. Dogs for adoption may be seen by appointment only following an approved application. Proof of completion of an obedience class is required for all dogs following adoption. Please note: while we welcome out of state applications, we do not ship our animals and require adopters to come to Holland to finalize any adoption.
