Meet Maverick – a 2-year-old Boxer mix with a sweet heart, a love for adventure, and just a little bit of goofiness thrown in.He can be nervous around new people at first, but once he knows you, he’s all in—loyal, playful, and affectionate. He adores kids, even babies, and is incredibly gentle and patient with them.Maverick is housebroken and knows a handful of commands (stay, come, sit, bedtime, no), though he definitely has his “selective hearing” moments—especially if he’s busy with a ball or exploring something new. Speaking of which, he loves anything that involves a ball, snacks of any kind, and going on walks or car rides.One of his absolute favorite things is swimming—he’s happiest splashing around or running through the creek. We’re not sure how he is with cats yet, but with a slow and thoughtful introduction, he might do just fine.Maverick is looking for a home where he can feel safe, be himself, and get plenty of time outside doing the things he loves.
