Mission StatemetMalinois and Dutch Shepherd Rescue, Inc. (MAD) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which is dedicated to rescuing Belgian Malinois and Dutch Shepherds who have found themselves without a home (surrendered, discarded, abused, neglected or impounded). MAD does not have a physical location and is operated by compassionate, like-minded professionals who volunteer their time and resources to help save and care for the Malinois and Dutch Shepherds. All animals that are accepted by MAD are spayed or neutered, given medical attention and rehabilitation, as needed, and placed with foster homes until their health and evaluations are completed and they are ready to be placed in their loving permanent homes.

Meet Vin located in CA

Vin might be one of the smallest malinois that I’ve ever met. The little guy is only 35 pounds, and he’s as darling as they come. He’s extremely sweet, and he’s sensitive. Though he’s a gentle little guy, those details shouldn’t take away from his breed and his needs (an owner/foster who is active and prepared to provide mental AND physical stimulation is needed).When Vin arrived, he was so scared. He’s kept to himself and is still pretty shut down. He becomes startled when dogs lunge and bark at him. He’s friendly around calm dogs. When we took him outside, he was an angel. At first he just wanted to curl up on my lap to feel safe. It seems that he really misses companionship once I began to walk around with him, he took time to explore and check things out. He kept coming back to me to be pet and rubbed.
