Meet Carson

This sweet beagle boy was born to track, his nose always leading him on a trail. But here, in the shelter, for him everything is chaos. Carson isn’t himself here. When he is in the kennel he cries, when he is out of his kennel, he is so confused and stressed with the scents he doesn’t know what to do with himself. In the video, you can see it: Carson darts around the outside kennels, nose to the ground, frantic. His tail doesn’t wag. His ears don’t perk with joy. He sniffs and sniffs, pausing to alert us as if to say, “I found something!”—but there’s no trail to follow - too many scents to understand. Carson is good with kids and other dogs. We are not sure how he is with cats but with a slow introduction he may be fine.You may find me on our website under "ADOPT
