Charlie is a sweet, active, and playful pup who knows the secret of life is to keep looking up. Charlie can be a bit wishy-washy when it comes to making a decision on what to do at playtime. He will start by taking one of his bones out into the yard to chew on in the sunshine, but as soon as a canine friend comes out to play he is ready to wrestle and chase, and as soon as his human gets the leash out he will pivot back towards the house ready to suit up for a walk or run. While he can’t make a decision on what he enjoys the most, you can be sure Charlie is loyal to his family; humbly happy to be a part of their lives. Charlie would love to have a canine companion to call his own, but would also be fine as an only pup. He does well with cats, mostly ignoring them. While Charlie has not yet met a young child, his foster believes his kind and friendly personality will translate into a good pairing with kids. Charlie is a tripod whose leg was amputated after he was found with a broken leg that was unable to be fixed. You would never know it though as his sunny smile and athleticism remain untouched. Charlie is a sweet and goofy puppy looking for an active family who is patient as he continues his leash and manners training and is ready to fully embrace him as a new family member. If you would like to meet Charlie apply at https://rescuecrew.org/adopt-animal-in-need/#adoptionapplication Completion of an Adoption Application via our website (www.RescueCrew.org) is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in the adoption process. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well.
Adoption Process
Adoption applications must be completed, which include information regarding references and vet clinic information, DL #, names, etc. Reference checks are conducted and when necessary vetting information verified. Discussion about the animal interested in to best assure appropriate and proper placement is made, and educational information regarding how to manage a multi-dog/animal household, slow and proper introductions and the importance of a shut-down period to help the animal acclimate to new surroundings. A "meet and greet" with the animal is required and whenever possible all residents of the household should be present. Home checks may, but not always, be necessary. After adoption applications is approved a contract is required, where we also stipulate that if for any reason the adopter determines they no longer want or can care for the animal we require it be returned to us, with the exception of documented bite history or potentially dangerous or dangerous dog designations. Adoption fees vary, but are comparable to or less than other local rescues and typically are $300 or less for a canine and $150 for a feline.
