_________ B I O ______________ Name: Dean Size: ~ Medium, range: 26-60 lbs Adoption Donation: $250 (applicable sales tax included). Adoption fees may be paid by cash or check. Other: Neutered Male, Vaccinations current, Microchip, NO CATS Dean is a goof looking for some people to please! Foster Home Feedback ** NO CATS 01/20/2024 Foster Feedback: Dean is super friendly towards people, he’s well-mannered and only jumps up when he’s very excited. He loves attention and is happy to sit for pets or sit by himself with a toy. Dean is house-trained and hasn’t had a single accident since he’s been with us. He’s great about letting us know when he needs to go out with his voice. He is good about hanging out in his crate, and stays quiet overnight, but needs some coaxing to go in initially. He can sit and lay down, but doesn’t quite know his name yet. Dean is easily treat-motivated and understands “good” and “no” in response to his behavior. Dean’s almost 50 lbs but he doesn’t have any issues with being picked up, which is helpful for when he’s pretending to be asleep next to his bed, so he doesn’t have to go to sleep in his crate. He’s a curious boy, sniffing around for ways to entertain himself but hasn’t chewed on anything like furniture, just his blanket and the occasional pillow when he’s feeling rebellious. Dean walks well on a leash, he gets a bit distracted but doesn’t pull and is easily redirected. When we’ve encountered other dogs, he is curious but stays put and quiet. He loves to greet strangers when they come to him, and is always complimented on how pretty and sweet he is! Dean is a total sweetheart and would especially love a yard to prance around in the snow. He’s recently taken it upon himself to unthaw our sliding door by licking off the frost, and loves to sit by it watching the trees outside. ** Dean is lyme positive. This is a tick-borne illness, and s/he is currently being treated with Doxycycline. To learn more about Lyme disease in dogs, read here: http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?c=2+2102&aid=458
