Other: Spayed Female, Vaccinations current, Microchip Mistletoe is a sweet girl looking for a family she can spend the rest of her holidays with Foster Home Feedback 1/13/24 Foster Feedback: I had the pleasure of watching Mistletoe for a week. She is such a happy dog, it's hard to be in a bad mood when she's around. She greets you with tippy taps and a wagging tail! Mistletoe is a little shy and timid at first, but will warm up into a lap buddy in no time. She is good with our kids (11 and 15) and small-dog friendly, crate-trained and potty-trained. By the end of our time with her, she had come out of her shell and would pick out toys to chew on and toss around. She initiated the zoomies and play time with our resident dog as well. We even gave her a nickname of "Swiper" as she can be a sly little fox and steal shoes and bring them to her bed or spot on the couch-never chewing them up, just collecting them. 12/30/23 Foster Feedback: I have had Mistletoe for a few days and she has been such a sweetie pie. I volunteer at the rescue's shelter often, so I do meet many dogs, and Mistletoe is easily one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met. I am leery to put this on here even with how fast she is progressing to being a brave girl, but she was very shy and nervous when she came into our care and had to stay at the shelter. She was slightly nervous about meeting her humans but wanted to so bad so would crawl over with a wagging tail for attention. In the few days I have had her she has been nothing but a brave little cuddlebug. She is very close on her potty training, she has just had a few accidents in her kennel. I was expecting potty accidents everywhere with how nervous she was initially. I imagine the next time I send in feedback (if she is still available) I will say she is potty trained and has settled into her routine well. Mistletoe loves laying in a soft place and just cuddling the hours away. She will run around and play in the yard a little bit, but as of now cuddling is her favorite. She enjoys a good bit of enrichment like smeared peanut butter on a Benebone, a Kong, or a puzzle game. She is very treat-motivated, smart, and knows her basic commands like sit, stay and lay down. I would imagine Mistletoe would make a great apartment dog if someone is looking for such, she is quiet while I am home and while I am away and she is only 25 pounds. After seeing her interactions with a couple of different bigger dogs, she is so scared of them and I don’t think she’d live comfortably with them. Someone is going to be very lucky to have Mistletoe in their family.
