Meet Blass
If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please complete an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org. Hi there! I’m Blass, but honestly, I’m not too attached to that name—call me whatever you like, I’m still the cutest little Chi mix around! I’m about 6 months old and 8 pounds. The foster kids hold me a lot because obviously I’m very cute. I’ve been working hard on my potty training—I have very few accidents these days, and they’re usually on a potty pad. I’m on a good routine with my foster family and love my crate; I sleep in there at night like a champ! I’m still just a baby, though, so I appreciate a good potty break at night.I get along great with my foster dog brother, but if I’m being honest, I really love my people. I think I’d do best as your one and only pup because I’ve got lots of love to give, and I just want to be your best buddy! I’m playful and full of energy, but I also love a good cuddle sesh and I nap hard (I’m pretty good at snuggling).Oh, and I’m not opposed to a little fashion, especially if it keeps me warm and stylish! I’ve got a flair for looking adorable, and I’m happy to rock a sweater if it means staying cozy.I enjoy my walks, but since I’m little, I’m not about long hikes—just short, fun strolls are perfect for me! I do well with the kids in my foster home, but I’d prefer kiddos who understand my boundaries (I’m still learning, after all). Chewing is one of my favoritest things in the whole wide world right now! I’m working on my big dog teeth, and chewing feels so good. I think shoes are great, but foster mom says no-no and gives me lots of other fun options instead. I love any and all food and treats. Foster mom tricks me into sitting and going potty outside with food, but that’s just fine. I’ll learn new tricks for treats! If you work from home and need a little sidekick who’ll love you hard, I’m your guy! Or I’ll wait patiently for you to get home from work to play with me. Let’s hang out and be best friends!Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption. The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well.
Adoption Process
Adoption applications must be completed, which include information regarding references and vet clinic information, DL #, names, etc. Reference checks are conducted and when necessary vetting information verified. Discussion about the animal interested in to best assure appropriate and proper placement is made, and educational information regarding how to manage a multi-dog/animal household, slow and proper introductions and the importance of a shut-down period to help the animal acclimate to new surroundings. A "meet and greet" with the animal is required and whenever possible all residents of the household should be present. Home checks may, but not always, be necessary. After adoption applications is approved a contract is required, where we also stipulate that if for any reason the adopter determines they no longer want or can care for the animal we require it be returned to us, with the exception of documented bite history or potentially dangerous or dangerous dog designations. Adoption fees vary, but are comparable to or less than other local rescues and typically are $300 or less for a canine and $150 for a feline.
