Maggie is from Texas. She was found roaming the streets with her sister and brought into rescue after her stray hold was up. Meggie was in fairly good condition when she was rescued, just a bit underweight and a little wormy. Both of those issues have been resolved, and she has been thriving while in rescue, so now it's time to find her a home of her very own! Meggie is the sweetest little scruffy girl! she loves to play with toys, and tends to get a little vocal when playing. Doesn't matter if its with toys, people, or just by herself.. this sweet girl just has a lot to say. Meggie is mostly crate trained, and will definitely crate up for a treat, so we still have some work to do on that front. Meggie is mostly potty trained, but there is always regression when there's change, but if you keep everything consistent, it shouldn't be that big of a deal. wake up - POTTY. come inside & eat... 20-30 minutes later - POTTY. she should be good until around noon, but then she'll need to go potty again.. and again around 5pm. potty training a puppy really is just about setting a schedule and keeping consistent with it. Meggie is looking for an active family that just wants to make her part of their active lifestyle. if you think you fit that bill.. please go and fill out an adoption application today! she can't wait to meet you!! They arrive in Minnesota on 04/12/2025 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. *Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.* If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
