Meet Rosaleigh

*This animal is a part of our “Seniors for Seniors” program where we offer senior adopters an opportunity to adopt an eligible pet at a discounted fee.* Rosaleigh is the ultimate love bug. She thrives on companionship and would love nothing more than to snuggle up next to you on the couch while you read or watch movies. Her favorite pastime is making a warm, comfy nest out of blankets. Rosaleigh is somewhat vocal and likes to express herself, especially when left alone, so she might not be the best fit for apartment living with shared walls if her person is gone frequently. She tolerates other dogs if they're respectful of her space, but she would prefer to be the only dog. She will go into her crate, but she has to push through some anxiety barking which can last several minutes or longer. She will eventually quiet down. This sweet girl has a few health concerns, including bad teeth, mammary tumors, a heart murmur, and a very large hernia, but she doesn't let her ailments slow her down one bit. She is doing well with potty training and more often than not will go to the door when she needs to go out. If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate dog to share your days and nights with, Rosaleigh is ready to be your devoted friend. Give this precious girl a chance, and she'll fill your home with love and joy. Adopting a senior dog is like getting a vintage car – it comes with character, a few extra quirks, and might need a bit more maintenance. Expect occasional tune ups at the vet for oil changes (aka meds), and embrace the fact that those 'normal lumps and bumps' are just part of the well-earned charm package!
