Meet Winona

Winnie is so sweet and lovable. She is soooo funny!!!  She loves to give puppy kisses. She is learning how to play with our dogs and does need to learn how to approach slowly, play with purpose and to settle when playing to rough. When she gets a little rough with our dogs we have her on a leash for slow interactions.  She would do well in a home with a dog who can teach her these things. As an owner you also need to teach her this too because she has no siblings to teach her.    She knows the word “come” and “sit”. She loves treats and is very treat motivated. She is learning her kennel is a safe space when treats are placed in it. She likes someone to be by her for 10 minutes when she is in her kennel to calm down. Winnie loves to sleep in the bed. She likes to know her people are near. She is going through her puppy biting phase right now and needs bones and toys to chew on. Potty training is going well, out every 20 minutes before kennel after kennel and after eating and drinking.    Winnie will be a fantastic family dog most likely would do best with kids 8 and older. She loves to play ball, chew on bones and is learning how to walk on a leash in the yard. She would be a great only dog but would love to learn how to play with other dogs and be properly socialized. Winnie is going to be a jumpy dog and would love to show off her jumping skills with agility training.   The thing she needs the most is a family to love her forever.    If you have previously applied with us please email [email protected] to reactivate your application with new interest.
