Emmet County Animal Shelter

We live in a primarily rural area with a 50% poverty level and 40% non Caucasian/transient population. Due to the farmer mentality or disposable mentality of our area many pets find them selves homeless due to no fault of their own. We take in animals that are neglected, abandon, injured or just unwanted. We rehabilitate them and then re-home them through our adoption process. We have been solely foster based since 2010 and are currently building our new facility. We do it all with volunteers and we do it because we love it! The animals deserve better and we try our best to offer them that by doing what we can, when we can, the best we can, with what we have and with all our heart.

Meet Pepe

***The first step in the adoption process is to go to www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org to complete the Adoption Application*** This spunky little cutie is Pepe!!!  Pepe is fun loving and silly.  He loves toys and to play and he would be a great fit for about any home looking to add a new furry friend.   Pepe is likely to be about 40-60 pounds. He has some wire hair terrier in him and if you look you can see he has whiskers on his face and chin. He is still working on house training but he sleeps in a kennel.  He gets along great with his foster dog and cat siblings and loves all people. He really likes to play with toys and chew on bones.  But what he really loves is a good cuddle!   Pepe is up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, wormed and microchipped.  He will be adopted on a spay/neuter contract and their adoption fee is $300.00

Adoption Process
