Meet Cheeto

  Cheeto is coming up on ONE YEAR in foster care - how this lover boy hasn't found his forever yet is beyond us!  Mr. Cheeto is a happy-go-lucky 70lb 3yr old mixture of hound, pointer, probably some lab, and sunshine!!  Cheeto was found wandering around a trailer park, and was basically a neighborhood dog, he gets very excited when people come to see him, especially when they bring snacks!  He has been trying very hard learning how to be the goodest dog while in foster care. He is very food motivated and he loves to learn & please! He's working on basic commands, leash training with a gentle leader, and focusing for longer than 1.2 seconds.   He is 100% house trained and kennel trained. Cheeto thrives on routines, consistency, love, and positive reinforcement. He really enjoys zoomies in the backyard, and would LOVE to go explore the outdoors with someone!  Cheeto has a lot of emotions and gets very excited to play with other dogs and people. He can get overstimulated with other large dogs, but can live with them if there's enough space for him to sprawl out.  His favorite spot is either out sunbathing in the backyard, or cuddled up on your lap because he is an appropriately sized lap dog!! He's a bed sleeper, alarm clock, and face wash all in one!  He would do best in a home without cats - he does love to chase them. Adoption Process
People interested in adopting contact us and fill out an application. We review the application and determine if they may be a good fit for the dog, and if so they will set up a time to meet the dog. If all goes well, we proceed with adoption. All dogs are spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations when adopted. Adoption fees range from $300-$450
