Meet Matilda, a lively young Australian Shepherd puppy with a heart full of love and energy. She adores everyone she meets and thrives in the company of other dogs, especially her foster siblings—a young lab mix and a chihuahua. Matilda's journey began with a rough start; she was abandoned by her previous owner and left to fend for herself as a small puppy. Thanks to the kindness of neighbors and a rescue group, she was eventually placed in a foster home where she blossomed. Matilda is the perfect companion for an active person or family. She loves car rides, playing fetch, splashing in water, and tossing toys in the air. While she's affectionate and playful, her vocal nature makes her better suited for a home without shared walls. If you're looking for a fun-loving, goofy, and intelligent dog who will keep you on your toes, Matilda is ready to bring endless joy to your life. She’s eagerly awaiting the day she finds her next adventure and new home—could it be with you? Matilda is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 9/21/2024 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame.  Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
