Bandit is the sweetest boy who just wants to snuggle on the couch with a fluffy blanket. If you are lucky, you may be invited to join but he does like to stretch out so be warned that he’s a couch hog. Bandit loves to run and play outside, and sometimes inside, with his foster brother, sniff and inspect everything in the yard, and try to figure out if the cats out there are friends. Bandit would love to join a family, especially one that loves to play or take walks outside. He does well with kids, other dogs, and is learning that cats are friends and not to chase. He is potty trained but does have the occasional accident if he drinks too much after being outside. Bandit can be timid with new things and can need some confidence boosting but once he figures out that he’s safe, he’s ready to go. Currently, he is at home during the day with his foster mom who works from home. He does well in the crate overnight but may not love being crated all day while family is at work. He has the best coon hound type bark which is deep and low for such a small dog and make us laugh. Bandit is such a happy boy all the time and really loves people. We can’t wait for him to find his forever family! Visitors to the shelter are by appointment only and after a form has been submitted online: https://www.marshmallowfoundation.org/forms/
Adoption Process
Marshmallow Animal Shelter wants to make certain that every animal adopted goes to a loving home where it will be well cared. Because of this, our application asks a number of detailed questions, which are necessary for our screening process. Our application will ask you to what lengths you are willing to go, in order to accommodate the animal's needs and training. You must be able to show commitment of time, finances, energy and compassion to the animal.
Once your application is approved, we require that you sign a contract guaranteeing non-transferal/sale of animal, its proper care, and spay/neuter surgery if not already done.
