Meet Dixie
Come meet adoptable Dixie, the potential THERAPY and EMOTIONAL support dog, on April 5th at the Chuck and Dons in Highland Park St Paul from 11-1PM It’s hard to believe that this sweet girl, Dixie, has not yet found her forever home. She is truly the full package, and we’re certain she would excel as a therapy or emotional support dog with her calm and gentle nature. Dixie’s foster mom uses a walker for mobility, and Dixie is not fazed by it at all. Instead, she walks gently next to her, doesn't pull on the leash, offering her full support when they go places. Its almost like she keenly knows her foster mom needs help. Dixie’s calm and patient demeanor makes her the perfect companion for someone with physical disabilities, as she provides comfort and companionship without being overwhelming. If you’re a cat lover, you’ll be happy to know that Dixie absolutely adores her foster mom’s cat. She’ll sit patiently for hours while the cat grooms her or even gives her a “gentle scolding” if Dixie moves during her LONG ear cleaning sessions. It’s clear that Dixie has the kindest soul, and she’s great with other pets too. We 100% believe this girl should be doing therapy work somewhere!!!! Shes just got that exceptional demeanor! Dixie is crate trained and fully potty trained, making her an easy keeper in the home. She’s low-maintenance and thrives on love and affection. For a first-time dog owner, Dixie would be an ideal choice because of her laid-back personality and easy-going demeanor. Dixie is also incredibly smart! She picks up new things almost the first time she’s shown, which makes her a quick learner. Whether it’s a new command or a routine, Dixie is eager to please and catches on quickly, making training a breeze. If you're looking for a dog that really requires little extra work, Dixie is your girl. She would make an exceptional therapy dog as she loves everyone and everything. She’s incredibly easy to care for and just wants to be loved. Whether you’re experienced with dogs or a first-time owner, Dixie’s calm and sweet nature will fit seamlessly into your life. Her gentle nature, easy ability to train, coupled with her loving spirit, make Dixie an ideal candidate for a therapy dog. She would be there to comfort, support, and bring joy to those around her. And she is always so calm in every situation she is put in! But beyond her potential as a therapy dog, Dixie is just a sweet, loyal companion who requires little except to be loved and cherished. Dixie would be a wonderful fit for someone with physical disabilities. She’s calm, mindful, and would provide a comforting, easy-going presence in your life, offering companionship and emotional support without requiring a lot of effort in return. If you’re looking for a dog who is kind, calm, and just waiting to become your best friend, look no further than Dixie. She’s truly one in a million, and we can’t wait for the right person to give her the loving home she deserves. Ready to meet this special girl? Let’s make Dixie’s dreams come true!
