$150.00Maynard is an approximately 3 year old pug who came to us from the city pound. His time was up and no one had claimed him. He's a pretty cool dude! He's mellow when it's necessary and playful and goofy when the mood hits. He's happy and kind of ready for whatever rolls his way. He will need to be vet checked and neutered and his fee is $150. Please note: small, "specialty" types like Maynard tend to be very popular! We do think that Maynard would be okay with other smaller dogs and older kids. It would be ideal if his adopter has had experience with pugs. They can have some breed specific health issues due to their flat faces and shortened nasal passages. NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications can be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventative, and spayed or neutered.
Adoption Process
Starts with written Application form which includes questions regarding housing situation (rent/own etc. renters require landlord approval), History of previous or current pets, Vet information, Animal housing information (cats must be indoors, dogs fenced yard etc.). Fees for Cat Adoptions are $50 (or $75 for two) Dogs vary based on breed, size, etc. Average is $125.
