Meet Maaxx

*This animal is a part of our “Seniors for Seniors” program where we offer senior adopters an opportunity to adopt an eligible pet at a discounted fee.* Maaxx is an 11 year young Beagle.  He does not behave like a senior, other than being a bit set in his ways.  Besides food which is number one with any Beagle, he loves being outside. He’s always on the move, sniffing and exploring. He needs to be on a leash or in a fenced yard because he’s still eager to chase cars and critters. That being said, 2024 has been a traumatizing year for Maaxx. He spent his entire life with a senior couple who could no longer care for him.  A caretaker kept him penned outside for 7 months, fed but neglected otherwise.  Consequently, he doesn’t want to be crated or  left alone for long periods of time.  He doesn't like to be startled, picked up or have his butt touched.  He reacts by telling you off (especially veterinarians).  No young kiddos for this guy. The perfect home for Max is to replicate the wonderful life he obviously had at one time.  Max will provide you with entertainment . Maaxx is from a local impound.
