Meet Xena, an energetic and loving girl with a big, pink smile that will melt your heart! Her adorable grunts, groans, and even snores (especially during scratchies) are sure to make you laugh. Xena is still learning to feel comfortable and safe around food, so she’ll need a patient adopter to help her work through this. While she hasn’t had much leash training yet, she surprised us with how well she handled herself when picked up from the shelter—hardly pulling at all! She loves to play hard, especially outside, and gets a bit rowdy when playing games like tug-of-war or teasing her foster sibling with toys. Her playful snorts and growls are part of her charm, making every play session a delight. Xena is still learning commands, but her eagerness to please will make her a great student. We’re monitoring some minor weakness in her back legs and will have her checked out on January 30th. It may just be temporary soreness from overexertion at the shelter, where we heard she couldn’t resist jumping to see over her kennel. She also has a healing spot on her foot that’s improving every day. Despite her high-energy play, Xena loves to cuddle. She’ll happily flop down on you for snuggles, soaking up every bit of love she can. Check out this sweet video of Xena cuddling on the couch. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate companion, Xena might just be your perfect match! Xena is from a local impound.
