Meet Bosco (no more applications)

Bosco is an 9 to 10 week old labradoodle (lab/poodle cross) mixed with a Norwegian Elkhound/poodle (elkadoodle?). He looks primarily like a labradoodle and we expect him to be a fairly large dog at maturity. He's a typical puppy and is energetic, playful, and happy. He will be vet checked on Friday, Jan. 3rd and should be ready for a new home soon after. His fee of $200 covers ALL of his basic vetting - puppy shots, rabies shot (when old enough), microchip, and neuter surgery (when old enough). As a puppy, Bosco will require good, consistent, patient training in all areas. He should do fine with other dogs and probably cats. Kids over 5 would be best as he is a young puppy, prone to puppy behavior (jumping, nipping, etc.). His breed mix will require regular grooming to keep his coat free from matting. A potential adopter should be prepared for this extra expense. NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. Keep an eye on your emails if you apply. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventative, and spayed or neutered.

Adoption Process
Starts with written Application form which includes questions regarding housing situation (rent/own etc. renters require landlord approval), History of previous or current pets, Vet information, Animal housing information (cats must be indoors, dogs fenced yard etc.). Fees for Cat Adoptions are $50 (or $75 for two) Dogs vary based on breed, size, etc. Average is $125.
