adoption donation : $599 weight 84 lbs Age 2 years Sweet Beau was found wandering alone at a truckstop in a rural part of northern Mississippi, likely dumped by his owners. When the Wags director tried to coax him to come to her, she didn’t have to worry, Beau immediately tried to climb into her truck, his whole body wiggling with excitement. Despite his sad beginning Beau is the happiest dog, he was such a mushy, affectionate, loving boy the rescue director named him Lovey although in his current foster home in the north east they decided he looks more like a Beau. We don’t really know his mix, when we put his photos in a dog scanning app, it comes up with a mix including American bulldog and English pointer and English foxhound Beau settled in quickly at his new foster home. He absolutely adores his people, he wants nothing more than to lie at your feet. He really is such a gentle boy, and so calm and easy-going, just a perfect family dog. He likes to go for walks, but really doesn’t need a ton of exercise. He really just likes to hang out with the family. Beau gets along fine with other dogs. He’s definitely an alpha male and was only recently neutered so he probably isn’t the best fit with another alpha male. But he’s friendly to dogs and walks really well on a leash and is just overall an awesome big boy! Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs. Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter at one of the clinics we use.
