UPDATE!! Sweet Momma Kitty & all of her babies have settled in to their foster homes and are loving it! They came to us from a local overcrowded shelter so we can continue treating them for the intestinal parasites they are dealing with. They will be sitting out their stray hold until 1/15/25. If not reclaimed, they will be up for adoption then. Kitty is an adorable terriers she’s around 2 years old and 16 lbs. Dad to the pups is a Aussie mix who is around 30 lbs and fluffy. Some pups do have longer hair. Pups are all 8 weeks and 2.9-4 lbs. Kitty is a sweet girl and loves to held and is great with other animals. She’s utd, hw neg (tested below detectable levels) and she will be spayed and adoption ready 1/15/25 if not reclaimed. The pups will be adoption ready 1/22/25 if not reclaimed and after they have had their second round of vaccines and are altered. Keep checking back for updates on this family. You can apply now and get approved but no meets/reservations/adoptions will take place until stray hold is over on 1/15/25!  Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!  Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications! Adoption Process
Our fee is $175 to cover vetting. Our dogs are adopted with age appropriate vaccinations, decals, dewormer, exams, heartworm test, spay/neuter, preventions and treated for any illness or injury.
