Meet Semi

Semi is a resilient 20 pound three year old Dachshund mix with an incredible story of survival. After being hit by a semi-truck and sustaining a head injury, he has fully recovered with no lasting effects. Semi is good with cats and dogs, though he can be a bit bossy during mealtime. He’s looking for a loving home where he can thrive and share his unique charm. He loves to snuggle and would be a great only pet for anyone. He is crate trained but prefers to sleep next to his person. Semi has endured so much and will need to be on slow kill heartworm treatment which is covered in his adoption.       Friends of Jackson County Animal Shelter Pets (FJCASP) is a foster-based rescue for dogs and cats. All pets are in a home environment cared for by a foster person who provides temporary care until the pet can be placed in a permanent home. Friends of Jackson County is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Adoption Process
Prospective adopter must fill out application/contract. Our adoption coordinator calls to verify that all other animals in the home are under vet care and utd on vaccinations, preventatives and are spayed/neutered. Home visits are done to verify fenced yard, shelter, etc. Our normal adoption fee is $50.00
