Meet Goldie

Hi my name is Goldie. I am an older gal who still has plenty of energy and love to give. I lived all my 14 years with my dad but when he became too sick to care for me he had to give me up. Not sure which one of us was more sad. But luckily my veterinary team called Tired Dog for help and they took one look at my picture and said YESSSS we would love to help! So here I am getting a second chance to find my furever home. A little about me. I am very independent. I love to spend most of my time outdoors. Even at night I will sleep on the ground which my foster mom said I am not allowed to do anymore. She will make me come inside. I still am not comfortable sleeping on dog beds so I will curl up on the floor and sleep through the night. I am completely potty trained and very quiet in the house. Sometimes when I am outside I will bark at sounds but if you tell me to stop I will. I love to chase my foster brothers and sisters around the yard as I still have a lot of energy for my age. My foster mom says I am more active than the young ones. I LOVE LOVE LOVE to eat. I must eat by myself because I do NOT like other dogs near my food. Outside of that easy fix I am perfect. I am starting to give my foster mom kisses in the morning and get a couple head pets before I am off to play. Other than that I am not super comfortable with touch. I will let you pet all over me but I won't come to you for attention. Like I said I am a very independent girl however the long massages my foster mom gives are pretty darn nice and I think I could learn to love them. I am good with other dogs and people. Not sure about kitties. I am fully vetted and heartworm negative, microchipped and I just had my teefers cleaned so i am good to go.
