Perry County Humane Society of Illinois

We are a no kill shelter who aims to educate the public about responsible pet ownership & the importance of spaying and neutering pets. We encourage people to adopt pets instead of shopping for pets! We promote keeping pets healthy through routine vet care, getting adequate nutrition and exercise, and we recruit volunteers on a regular basis to work with our animals. We have very few employees (only 2 currently) and run almost entirely on a volunteer staff.

Do you like to RUN!  Do you like to HIKE?  Do you need a furry pal to all the running and hiking with you?  This girl is for you!  Cinnamon is a young terrier mix who has energy for DAYS.   She's the most fun to have in the office visiting, she's kinda crazy kinda chill and will do anything for a beggin strip!  This girl can JUMP, she can jump 6' from a standing position and will RUN given the chance; she needs a diligent active owner to keep her engaged and safe!  

Adoption Process
Applicants must apply and pass a thorough screening process, which includes vet and personal reference checks. They must sign contracts and pay an adoption fee.
