$300.00Thelma Portuguese Water Dog Spayed female 9 months old, 40 pounds It’s not every day you see one of these in rescue. In actuality, this may be a first in our organization’s 15-year history… Meet Thelma, a purebred Portuguese Water Dog! Born April 4, 2024, Thelma is friendly, gentle and bonds well with humans, but she needs more individual time with people willing to train her. She enjoys playing with toys and other dogs. We’re not sure about cats or kids, but she has done well when exposed to children. Thelma is spayed and weighs approximately 40 lbs. She is kennel trained, but still needs some help with her house training and Thelma piddles sometimes when excited. We hope this will improve with age and higher levels of confidence. She walks well on leash and we want to find an adopter that will continue to exercise her appropriately. At nine months of age, Thelma has medium to high energy. She doesn’t shed, but her coat will require regular grooming. Her adoption donation request is $300 and an application will be required.

Senior dogs: $150.00
All dogs are spayed/neutered; up to date on shots and microchipped. Also heart worm tested.
