Meet Nadine

Nadine is a very sweet and affectionate 8 year-old long-coated GSD who found herself in need of rescue after her owner passed away. Nadine arrived very overweight, with a matted coat and some painful tangles, that had caused a couple of hot spots. With grooming, good hygiene and nutrition, Nadine's coat now looks great. Her skin is all healed, she is shedding the extra pounds, and she has more energy and playfulness! Nadine is a gentle, shy girl who gets along with other dogs and people. She has the sweetest temperament is very easy-going. Nadine has age-related arthritis and takes daily joint supplements, as well as monthly joint injections (Adequan) which can be done at home, to keep her comfortable and help with her mobility. Thanks to her weight loss program and joint supplement/injection regimen, she now enjoys her walks, gets around the house better, and enjoys playing in the yard (and with her toys).  Nadine's adoption fee is $225, all of which goes back into offseting our high-cost vetting expenses and rescuing more dogs. Adoption fees include spay/neuter, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, fecal, deworming, flea/tick and heartworm preventative, heartworm tested if old enough (treated if positive), and microchipped. Seniors are an excellent choice for first-time GSD owners or for anyone looking for a low-key, mellow companion! 

Adoption Process
Application process includes 3 unrelated personal references, a vet check, and a home visit. Applicants are matched up to a dog that matches their living situation and skill level. Adoption contract is signed after successful meet and greet. Adoption fees range from $250-450 depending on the dog's age.
