My name is Scooby, and Iâm an Australian Kelpie Mix, around 7 years old. Iâm writing to tell you a little bit about myself so you can get to know me better.People describe me as âhandsome,â âa good looking pup,â âlooks exactly like the dog emojiâ, and my personal favorite from a kind gentleman at a bar: âhe just looks like a dog.âI absolutely love exercising and being outdoors. Playing fetch, hanging by the lake, going on hikes, running, and even biking â Iâm up for anything as long as I get to spend time with my owner! Daily exercise is a must for me to be on my best behavior. When I see another dog, I get SUPER excited. I just have to run up to them and say hello. If I canât do this (because Iâm indoors or on a leash), I might whine or pull on the leash really hard. But donât worry, I get along great with other dogs when Iâm off-leash. In fact, I think having another canine friend in the house would be awesome for me.Iâm a strong and smart working dog, and I love learning new tricks. However, I do have a few rules:1.I must bark at the mailman.2.Any time I see another dog, I must run up to greet them.3.SQUIRREL!I also have a cozy side. I love to den by getting under the bed covers with you or in a cozy crate with a blanket covering all of it except the front door. Iâm okay with being locked in the crate if Iâve had a couple of weeks to warm up to it by having my food served in there.Iâm house trained, but if you leave me alone and uncrated for more than a few hours, I might have an accident inside. My previous owner had to surrender me because they took an in-office job, and I couldnât handle being alone so much.I hope to find a new home where I can get lots of exercise, play with other dogs, and cuddle up in a cozy spot. Iâm a loving and loyal companion, and I canât wait to meet my new family.
