Meet Piper

If I could choose 1 word to describe myself, it would be "adventurous." In fact, I'm so adventurous that sometimes I take myself on field trips to explore. You would think that my humans would be happy that I am so curious and self-motivated, but nope. They usually just try to stop me from leaving (which is very rude, if you ask me) and say things like "No Piper, you have to stay here." Well, maybe I want to see the world and broaden my horizons. Maybe I like being independent. Maybe I want to travel the world and experience new things. Sigh.  Anyway, I'm looking for humans that will understand my craving for adventure, while also keeping me safe. I'm pretty easy otherwise - I'm good with dogs, kids and I'm potty-trained. I'm friendly with everyone I meet and I'm very sweet and adorable! If you also believe that traveling is good for the soul, please submit an application for me.  Ps - If anyone knows how I can obtain a doggy passport, please let me know. Thank you.    Piper is 3 years old and weighs about 13 pounds.

Adoption Process
Fees are: Puppies 0 - 6 months $495 Puppies 6 - 12 months $450 Adult dogs $395 Senior dogs 8 years and over $195 Adult cats $150 Kittens $195 or $250 for a pair Senior cats 8 years and over $95 Our adoption application is found and submitted through our website derryhumanesociety.com Once an application is submitted, it will be sent to an adoption counselor who will reach out to you if you may be a good match.
