Good Karma Rescue Inc. is a private charitable non-profit 501(c)3 organization.Good Karma Rescue is a small group of volunteers that love animals. Our mission is to rescue, provide refuge, and ultimately to find permanent loving homes for abandoned, stray and neglected animals where they will receive a lifetime commitment of loving care, including appropriate gentle training, exercise, and regular veterinary care. Whenever possible we also assist dogs who, because of extenuating circumstances, are unable to remain in their homes with their guardians. We are located in Central Vermont, and work with local and national organizations to help prevent needless euthanasia, and companion animal overpopulation. Good Karma rescue supports early age spay/neuter as the most practical and humane way to prevent companion animal overpopulation and needless euthanasia. All dogs and puppies adopted from Good Karma rescue prior to going to their forever home are spayed or neutered. Our organization acknowledges the serious problem of overpopulation of companion animals in this country, and works to prevent unwanted litters.All Good Karma are housed in foster homes where they are provided with attention and all are seen by a veterinarian to insure, as much as is possible, that they are in good health before adoption. All companion animals are spayed or neutered, brought up-to-date on shots, and screened for parasites before being placed in their new homes. When time permits, our dogs are also housetrained and taught basic obedience. All Good Karma animals are evaluated for temperament, and personality. This helps us to place them in homes that are well suited to their needs and to the needs of their future guardians.
