Meet Gabriel

Meet Gabriel, a charming 2-year-old male who is up to date on all his vaccines and guaranteed to keep you laughing with his playful antics. Despite being deaf, Gabriel is quickly learning basic hand signal commands. His lively behavior has earned him the nickname “Experiment 626” (Stitch) among Disney fans! Gabriel is incredibly smart and thrives on mental stimulation. He is crate trained, housebroken, and has a knack for figuring out how to open inside doors, so a gate is essential to keep him in place. Gabriel is a social butterfly who loves meeting new people and has even charmed the Amazon driver! However, he gets a bit too focused on cats, so a cat-free home would be ideal for him. From Gabriel’s Foster Mom: "Gabriel is pretty calm and aloof except for when he first wakes up in the morning. He settles easily and loves his black Kong toys. He enjoys meeting new people and is friendly with everyone he encounters. Gabriel is super playful and loves a good game of tug of war, though he loses interest if you drop the toy. He’s sweet, playful, but also strong and needs clear boundaries. On leash walks, Gabriel tests the boundaries but responds well to corrections and walks with a loose leash. He took a bath like a champ when I first brought him home, though he did try to eat the towel afterward! We are working on basic obedience and hand signals. Gabriel has mastered ‘sit’ and is very food motivated, which makes training easier. His puppy brain is always busy, and he will get into things if given the chance. He can even lift the lid on the bathroom garbage can! Gabriel is learning to keep all four paws on the floor and is quite agile, often climbing up and over things to investigate. His nose works overtime since his ears don’t. When we went to the store, Gabriel met lots of people and was super sweet and friendly with everyone. He received many compliments on his looks and loved all the pets. He sat and waited patiently in the store and paid attention very well. Gabriel is settling into a home environment wonderfully. He really is a good boy and a true gem! He loves to hang out on the couch and will be your best Velcro friend."
